A Client Success Story!

I'm so incredibly excited to celebrate the recent success of one of my tremendously gifted clients! Tod Lending is a natural storyteller whose debut novel tackled one of the toughest spaces in commercial publishing: a WWII-era coming of age novel with a young Jewish protagonist.

When I met Tod, he knew The Umbrellamaker's Son wasn’t quite ready, but he wasn’t entirely sure how to fix it. I took a peek and was delighted by what I read. Some of Tod’s visuals, the depth of his voice…some of the scenes and moments in this book will live rent-free in my head forever.

Despite what did work, there was very clear issues still to be developed. After just over a year of revisions, Tod signed with an agent who quickly sold the book in an exclusive submission to Harper Collins. I could not be more excited to celebrate this news with Tod.
